Remote Control for Your ICOM Transceiver

As Seen In the February, 2003 Issue of QST Magazine!

Your TV has a remote control. Your cable or satellite box has a remote. So does your DVD player, CD changer, VCR, and audio system. So why doesn't your transceiver have a remote? Well, now it can. This interface connects to any late model ICOM receiver or transceiver and allows you to tune the frequency, adjust the volume (including mute) and go directly to any memory in the radio. In addition, it supports "smart" direct frequency entry even for ICOM radios that have no direct frequency entry keypad (like the IC706). You can enter any frequency in either MHz or kHz (the remote is smart enough to know which you meant!). In addition to taking you to the proper frequency, the remote also puts the radio in the correct mode for the frequency entered..
